So I actually ended up getting a TAZ+ instead and will be ordering the 2+ soon once I save up for it. The whole presentation was real nice. Cool box, nice card from Nate, some other small free gifts, and the piece which looks sweet! Especially that gold. The first playing impression is WOAH... the TAZ (not sure what that stands for?) is a small lead piece but sounds awesome in all the registers at least what I can do . I'm only good up do a double G but it's strong!
Anyone else get one?

Per the ACB website the TAZ stands for Trent Austin Zip and "It features a .625 diameter with a medium flat rim and shallow hybrid V/S cup." _________________ 1932 King Silvertone cornet

Thanks for the help. So like maybe 10 1/2 ish? I'm new to the mouthpiece game.
Anyone see this video? This is what made me buy one. There's a pretty huge difference in the sound at least on my computer speakers and earbuds. Even between my MV3C and the TAZ+ there's a huge difference in how they sound and respond It's cool for sure. Today the new mpc feels a bit different (in a good way) I think think I'm getting used to the blow of the new piece and it sounds real nice. I hope I figured out the link thing above here's the link just incase

As a fan of both ACB mouthpieces and Monette mouthpieces, with their shorter length and larger throats and etc., I would be eager to try a CR if the opportunity came up. Particularly the 2D+, as I have a TA2 in the skeletal blank and while it is awesome, that mouthpiece and that blank... the sound can be brittle, for lack of a better word, sometimes. I love the brightness of the sound but it could use a bit more mass. _________________ 1932 King Silvertone cornet

I just bought the 3+ and absolutely love it. I like it way better than the Monette Unity B4S I just sold. Haven't had much playing time on it but I look forward to it. Trent and his team did a great job on this one and proud to have it in my arsenal.
I‘be tried the 1.25+ and 3B+ but both were too shallow for me.
I’ve had good success with their Papa Bear and Baby Bear mouthpieces, so if they ever offer something similar as a Custom Reserve I’d be eager to try it out.
