So, i recently just got my hands on 2 Leblanc horns, an al hirt signature model (possible prototype)
and a flugelhorn.
These were both horns that my grandfather played a whiiile back.
I've been trying to do research and find out when these horns were made but i cant really find anything.

Serial numbers: 7229 (flugelhorn) 16716
I was told these horns were a matching set, and both of the horns have the numbers " 7 8 9" stamped on the valve casing. (3rd valve says 9, 2nd valve says 8, 1st valve says 7)

Hi, from what i know those vintage Leblanc trumpets and flugelgorns where made by Courtois and they follow the same serial numbers as Courtois, those are profesional model trumpets and flugelhorns, for some reason nowadays on ebay the vintage Leblanc trumpets are more expensive thant the flugelhorns which is the contrary with most instrument branches. I own a Leblanc Paris flugelhor with serial number 10056 and according to my reasearch it was made from mid sixties to early seventies, yours prabably its from late fifties to mid sixties according the serial number you provided.

Eduardo's numbers sound about right. At some point I made a Courtois year-serial list which extrapolated from known horns and approximately how many made per year. My guess is this list is not more than a couple years off. Those two horns look like 1959 and 1970 by this list.

I forgot to mention that both of these horns were a matching set. They came together. If you look up my grandfathers name, Burgess Gardner, you can find pictures of him holding both of these horns. I'll also provide them here if i can
