I have this Giardinelli 5S Trumpet mouthpiece with a gold rim. Its shallow, the throat is a good size, it fits my lips really well, and i love it.
I wonder, is this a conventional size? is there anywhere i can get this same mouthpiece in a different weight? (I prefer heavy mouthpieces)

While mouthpieces using the Giardinelli name are currently produced in limited sizes I'm pretty sure the 5S is not available.

You might contact Greg Black and see if his NY 5S is the same.

Similar mouthpieces to try might be the Curry 3DE and perhaps Warburton 3S or 4S tops. Rims are different but cup shape is similar. Not sure about the Curry backbore.
