Is there any major difference between the QPress and public domain versions of the Arban Daily Gymnastics? Anyone have experience using this fundamental routine, any expansions to take it into other tonalities? I want to transition to a very short but comprehensive fundamental routine every day, need more time for music.

I don't have any experience with Arban's Daily Gymnastics, but there are a number of more contemporary "daily routine" books worth considering, including:

Kenneth Baird's Daily Workout
Stephen Dunn's Daily Routines
Don Owen's Daily Stuff
Michael Sachs' Daily Fundamentals

Good luck!

As I understand it, they are the same, but the qPress edition is translated and formatted.

If you're looking for a minimum-effective-dose-style fundamental routine, I'd recommend Clint "Pops" McLaughlin's "30 Minutes A Day to Better Trumpet Playing." Several pages of clear instructions and 9 exercises, it covers pretty much all the fundamentals of modern trumpet playing with a minimum of fuss. It's available at Pops' Bbtrumpet website.

Another solid option is "The Secret of Technique Preservation" by Ernest Williams, also available at qPress.

Hi there, yes we re-engraved, restored, and translated the original, as intended by Arban.

Available in Print or Digital right here.

Thanks!
