Hi all,
I'm looking for etude books similar to clodomir 70 little studies. Short and easy etude books more specifically. |

Rubank Supplementary Studies for Trumpet. Lots of "short and easy" etudes.

Here are a few that come to mind:
Caffarelli's 100 Studi (transposition)
Havart's 167 Etudes
Hering's 50 Recreational Studies (easier)
Huffnagle's 40 Studies in Syncopation
Maxime-Alphonse's 70 Etudes
Ost's 21 Miniature Etudes
Senon's 130 Etudes
Sachse's 100 Studies (transposition)
Thevet's 50 Exercices (transposition)
Vizzutti's Trumpet Method, book 3
Have fun! |

Both Getschell books, especially if you refer to the various patterns offered and also take the time to make real music with them.
And while not actual "Etude" studies, spend a lot of time playing and making music in the Arban's Art of the Phrase section. Take the liberties and perform like a singer, without the mental drama... |

I've been playing through a lot of Sigmund Hering books. Wide range of difficulty levels, though definitely on the easier side of the spectrum which has been especially good for me at this stage in my (comeback) playing.
Here's the etude books covered in Thomas Eerdman's Dissertation on Hering's pedagogy:
Forty Progressive Etudes
Thirty-two Etudes
Twenty-eight Melodious and Technical Etudes
Etudes in All the Major and Minor Kevs
Fifteen Characteristic Etudes
Fifty Recreational Studies for the Young Trumpeter
The Orchestra Trumpeter
Twenty-four Advanced Etudes
Twenty-three Orchestral Etudes for the Advanced Trumpeter
Sixty Rambles For Trumpet
Thirty-eight Recreational Studies for the Progressing Trumpeter
Enjoy!
