When the Blues Brothers was being filmed in Chicago, Alan came into the Schilke shop with a Chicago Benge that he found in a pawn shop. We overhauled and gold plated that horn and he used it in scenes in the movie.

One day in January 1973 Alan Rubin, Lew Soloff & Randy Brecker went to the Schilke downtown Chicago shop to p/u their gold-plated B6L's. Oh, to have been a fly on THAT wall...
