Dear Sirs,
I have recently purchased a Bach LR37 with the standard leadpipe 25. This leadpipe is full of redrot and a little hole is beginning to grow. My question is if anybody have an experience of this trumpet but with a 43 leadpipe? Or is it better to change to original 25? Very thankful for your opinions.

Welcome to TrumpetHerald!

The 43 leadpipe is a bit larger and more open. Switching leadpipes from a 25 to a 43 should be no problem, and it's farily common, I think. I've seen several Strads that had leadpipes switched. The most important thing is that the work is done well.

I was trying to think... I've had 43 and 72 bell Strads with reverse leadpipes, but the standard leadpipe with a 72 is the 25O. I can't recall what my leadpipe was with the 43 RL, and I know I haven't had a RL 37.

Hopefully someone else can pitch in with a bit more experience.
