Title says it. Would anyone be able to compare the weights of a Schilke B-7 and Benge? Thanks, K-

Based on the magic list from the German TF, the Benges may be slightly lighter. But there is an X3 with only 940 g in the list.

I don't currently have any Schilkes to weigh, but there are a couple on this chart.

http://rouses.net/trumpet/trumpet_weights.html

I did pull out a few Benge trumpets and put on a scale with the following results:

CG Benge sn 35xxx 31.8 oz
CG Benge sn 37xxx 32.0 oz
LA Benge 3x 24xxx 34.2 oz
Burbank Benge MLP 34.2 oz

The thinner bells on the CG model result in an approximate 2 ounce lighter horn than the other Benge models.

My 1948 Benge weighs 35.6 oz. I had a Schilke B2 that weighed 33.4 oz. My Olds Custom Crafted P-10 is the lightest trumpet I ever owned at 32.1 oz.
