The Conn Loyalist might know (or know how to find out):

https://cderksen.home.xs4all.nl/

Other than that, what is the serial number of the old trumpet? It would be easier to use that to date the horn and assume the valve oil is from the same era -- I am going on the assumption that the valve oil was provided with the trumpet when it was new; the odds on this are better if the trumpet is a Conn, or one of Conn's subsidiary brands ("Pan American" or "Elkhart Band" for example).

I have no idea on the date, but aerosol valve oil is a bad idea in all sorts of ways. I've not seen that before.

I also think it was a bad idea, the container is empty. In any case, sorta cool to have, plus bonus extra web time!

Yeah, that pretty much nixes my idea. The graphics style of the label doesn't look 20's either . . . more like 50's or 60's.

I do recall that, stylistically, that Conn label is late 60's to mid 70's. I have some literature from that era.

Also, a lot of consumer products were in that type of aerosol can. I have some fly fishing floatant in my old fly vest from the mid 70's in that type of can. Probably just as combustible and wasteful.

I have an old container of slide grease with the same style logo, it was in the case of an old trumpet I bought years ago. It was great stuff, but unfortunately, I’ve used it all…
