Does anyone know what the differences in measures are? Bonna says there are differences, but not which and how much…

I don't have any info on sizes, dimensions, or differences, but I can tell you my Lechner Bb and C rotaries fit nicely in my Bona compact double cases. I bought them here on the marketplace and none were identified as being for rotaries.

If you have other specific questions or would like photos, please contact me by private message.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply!

When you say ”compact double”, do you mean the standard Bonna double, or a different model?

All the best!

Johan

That was meant to be sent as a PM, which doesn’t seem to work….

As I mentioned , at least one of mine were advertised as "compact " double trumpet cases, with no distinction between piston or rotary. I bought the first one to see if my rotaries would fit well. Two of them did, so, over the course of a few years, I bought two more of the cases. They appear just like those on the MB web site listing for a case for "Two Piston Trumpets", with the same S-shaped divider.

https://mbcases.com/portfolio/cases/trumpets/case-for-2-piston-trumpets#characteristics

Ever helpful, the MB site offers no dimensions or model nr. However, Thomann does provide a model nr, (MB-02N) and dimensions. Accounting for the claimed 4 cm pouch depth, my measurements track with theirs.

Tonight, I measured all three cases on the bottom side. All three measured the same. I did not include the zipper pouch on the top of the cases since they have stuff in them. With the cases lying on their tops, they are about 56 cm long, 22 cm wide, and about 19.6 cm deep.

The MB site also shows an entirely different double trumpet case nowadays. The interior is completely different from mine and that shown on the Thomann site.

Hope this helps,
Steve
