getting back into trumpet

Over the past summer I marched trumpet with Atlanta CV,and I realized that I still enjoyed playing a instrument I had given up on (I had switch to bari/euph when I got to highschool) and I have decided to switch back to trumpet,now that I have been actually taught how to play with good tone and such by the trumpet techs at cv.My question is what would be a good trumpet for lead playing on the marching field,in concert and mostly for jazz.I've played on a xeno and found that I like most everything about the horn other than how open it felt to me,but I only played it few a small amount of time and on a new mouthpiece that had a larger throat,backbore and throat than I was used to(they were custom made for the hornline).I have been looking at the king liberty,king silvertone, and olds super.
I'm also still highschool and am still learning the trumpet.

Welcome back to trumpet! Coming from playing the bigger horns, you likely have developed a decent amount of breath support which will help on trumpet. There are a zillion trumpets that could work for what you described, so just play as many as you can and go with whichever you like best. We all have preferences, so there is no 'right answer' that all will agree on. Same with mouthpiece. Hornline playing is certainly different than your typical school playing outside of some marching band stuff. I presume most mouthpieces and trumpets may feel tight (more back pressure) than your summer marching situation. Again, just play all the trumpets you can, get a trumpet teacher and take regular lessons, and practice a ton = make the most of it and you'll get the most out of it!

Second the idea of playing all the trumpets you can and finding one you like. Just be mindful that what you like now may be different from what you like down the road after you develop your playing and voice.
