Gotta agree with what you wrote.
However with players switching horns you can often follow the horn blindfolded from chair to chair. Ease of play, I have played three new Benges with two other players and our Professor listening to each.
We would come to the same conclusion as to quality of sound and ease of play.
Not being able to test horns has me in a stew.

I have a new Kanstul 1001 - the Benge 3X+ / MLP / 0.464 bore. I am the only owner. I had Flip Oakes give it his Total Enhancement. I have only practiced on it at home. It has never been out. It just never makes it into my rotation. If you are interested PM me, I will send pics. It isn't for sale anywhere, but if someone made me a decent offer, I'd let it go. Such a nice horn should be in the hands of someone that will use it.
