I have a Mt Vernon Bach 7S mouthpiece and as I looked through the net, could not find even a record of fabrication. Bach catalogues (recent and old)..nothing, no info whatsoever. It really is an interesting mouthpiece, nice sound, but chokes up a bit in the high register.. would anyone have any info on this piece?, I’d appreciate it…thanks

Richard,
Don’t think this recent 7S has anything to do with the piece I have. I’m just trying to find out the specs of a much older (Mt Vernon) 7S piece |

Are you sure that the letter is an S - maybe an E?
Are there any other non-typical markings on the mouthpiece - numbers, etc.
Does the plating show any wear with exposed brass appearing?
If you see the numbers 925, or 'sterling' it might mean the mpc is sterling silver. _________________ Most Important Note? - the next one!

Read this thread (especially the last post, which I just updated to reflect changes in the Imgur upload process):

You basically have to upload your pictures to another hosting site, and then paste the BBCode for your images in your TH post. (Imgur is a relatively good free hosting site, and it automatically generates the BBCode for you to copy.) _________________ "He that plays the King shall be welcome . . .
