One site, http://trompete.com.pt/eng/filmestrompetistas.html , indicates that Uan Rasey played it, but I couldn't corroborate. Anyway, here's his IMDB page.

We grew up with some amazing music as part of cartoons. Not saying the theme song was Mahler, but it was great playing. No wonder so many of us "come back" to playing - we just love that sound.

Because he was a real force in movie music recording at that time. Chinatown soundtrack, anyone? Everyone that has watched classic movies has heard him play, whether they knew it or not.

I've loved the Dudley Dooright theme and used to play it during HS football games. The middle section of low brass is a quote from some symphonic piece but I'm curious which piece. (Is it Wagner?) Help me out. Thanks!

I both studied and got to hang out with Uan. He was the most humble guy you could ever imagine.

He would never play in lessons. When I would ask him to play or demonstrate something, all he'd say was "Just watch cartoons - you'll hear it."

Watch The Twilight Zone “A Passage for Trumpet” Season 1, ep. 32, original air date May 20, 1960

Uan plays all the solos.
