|
|
Hi all, new here. Does anyone have a recommendation for a bell bow dent repair in LA? Will be moving there in a month and hope to get my trumpet fixed. It's pretty old... 40's I think, so I'd like to find a reputable place. I've reached out to Bob Reeves and Robb Stewart (who appears to only be taking limited work) based on an older thread here, but am wondering where else I might go.
Also any idea how much it would cost to fix?

That looks like a very straightforward repair, and any competent brass shop should be able to handle it. _________________ 32 King Silvertone, 39 Beuscher 240, 39 Olds Super, 45 Buescher 400, 47 Olds Super Cor., 48 Couesnon flug., 49 Olds Special, 62 Olds Recording, 52 Reynolds Cor., 56 Committee, 54 Bach 43, 56 Benge, Besson Meha C, Scherzer pic |

One of the best is Rich Brannan.
Here's where you can reach him.

Robb Stewart and ANBRASS were my go to repair techs in Los Angeles. Both do great work from simple repairs to full overhauls and restorations. Robb is now in semi retirement so would recommend ANBRASS for faster service. They used to be next to Bob Reeves but moved to Van Nuys. Bob Reeves still refers brass repairs to them while ANBRASS still refers their customers to Bob Reeves for valve alignments. |
