What is this electronic trumpet device? Although whatever it is I think I'm against it, although I'm not against electronic music in general.

I believe it's an EVI (Electronic Valve Instrument).

It sounds like Mike's is set to sound more like a sax than a trumpet.

I conducted a musical with the lead player on a Morrison Digital Trumpet. It got the job done and sounded fine for the most part.
