Hi,

After careful consideration I've decided to learn more about the Claude Gordon method. However, I want to consult a teacher, preferably someone who studied under Mr. Gordon himself, before attempting the material.

Mr. Mohan, do you know of any Gordon method teachers in Minnesota, specifically working or living in the Twin Cities metro area?

I know of only one high-profile player, the trumpeter for the "Twin Cities 7", a swing-revival band. I am unsure if the gentleman teaches; however, an online bio mentioned that he studied with Mr. Gordon.

Thanks in advance,

TJH (a comeback trumpeter who should practice more)

Hi there!

I have the name and e-mail address of a former student of Claude's that lives in the Minneapolis area. He spent at least 20 years playing professionally throughout the world. He also happens to be the person I bought my 1970 Burbank Benge Large Bore from. He bought it personally through Claude from the Benge company "back then".

His name is Lowell Stevenson. I want to send you his e-mail address via private e-mail, as I haven't asked him if I can post it publically. So, either e-mail me at:

saxytrumpet@compuserve.com

with it, or add your e-mail address to your profile so I can send you Lowell's address.

Thank you for the information.

FYI, the name of the trumpeter with the "Twin Cities 7" is Tim Sullivan.
