Here is another nomination letter (misspellings included!):

Rafael Mendez was the orchestra conductor, arranger and featured solo artist for the Roy Rpogers-Dale Evans Show for many exciting years. He appeared with Roy and Dale at the majority of their major state fair arena and stage shows in the United States and Canada before all time record crowds. Mendez received standing ovations practically everywhere he ever appeared.
In our opinion, he was an absolute sensation on the trumpet and undoubtedly, one of the greates in the world. Mendez with his twin sons, Rafael and Robert, were show stoppers.
Throughout his long career with us, the Mendez family - Amar (wife) and twin sons, Rafael and Robert, became a part of the Rogers family.
If anyone in the entertainment world deserves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it is Raefael Mendez.
