I was just curious if anyone has bought or used their books and implemented them into their daily routine? I was looking around at their website (http://www.tasteebros.com) and read some stuff out of one of their books and it seems like it is some good information that could really help my playing. Anybody have experience with these books? are they worth $50? Thanks

I bought the first one for $20 and thought it was worth every penny. I've read it several times through and have gained lot's of wisdom about use of air, firm corners, how/what to practice, mouthpiece selection, gigs, etc.
The second book is a mystery to me, I too wonder about it. Anyone out there read it? |

I have tasteebros #2. It is pretty much the same stuff as #1 with a lot of other information added in. It is, as well, worth every peny. |

I have all three books. The third book is a Q&A. it is not as significant as the first 2 books, but I say read them all. What could it hurt?
Scooter is a big believer in using air velocity to control pitch. The backbone of his "method" is learning to play "easier" by relying more on air than chops. It gets him great result, doesn't it?! |

by the way. Scott also has a demo CD. It is a good companion to the books, and gives you an opportunity to compare your skill at things like doits, falls, rips, etc. with a really strong lead player.
order a copy. If you don't like it, you can use it as a coaster.

Ed,
On the demo cd, is it just Scott playing or Donny D. as well? Is it all goofball stuff like their other cd's, or serious?

Hi Mark,
The CD has Scott, Don, and "guests", some of whom just left messages on Scotts answering machine.
You asked:
"Is it all goofball stuff like their other cd's, or serious?"
My answer is.....Yes.
It is gooffy, but does contain examples of different "tricks" that are helpful in gauging how well your own "tricks" stack up to Scott and Donny's.
