I just bought the Dave Douglas CD entitled "The Infinate". It ain't too shabby.

his sound on the opening tune is reason alone to own this disc. He plays wonderfully, and Chris Potter ain't no slouch!!!

I like the choice of using Fender Rhodes too. Reminds me pleasantly of the late 60s and 70s, (hey it's a musical instrument! not a machine!) and Miles' band with HH on Rhodes. Good summertime music...

Yes, that album is a must have, IMO. I was also immediately caught by the sound of the Rhodes, and of the rhythm section in general. The recording quality is fantastic. And Douglas is one my favourite players (and composers!) these days.

Infinite is a stellar album. IMHO his best album is Constellation with his Tiny Bell Trio - I listened to the whole thing twice before realising there is no bassist - it is such a complete trio, the best ever perhaps......
