Hi all,

I'm desperate to get hold of some German Bierkellar music, preferably for small Brass Group (5tet to 10tet), but haven't been able to find any anywhere! Is anyone able to point me in the right direction? I would really appreciate it!!!

Some time back, while I was poking through the Robert King website, I ran across a listing for an collection of "German Band Encores" by an editor named "Butts" (no joke). According to the description, the collection is scored for trumpet, trombone and tuba with 1-3 woodwind (forget exactly which). I dunno if that is what you meant by "Bierkeller" music... are you referring to the Oompah-type music we hear in the tents during Oktoberfest?

Robert King music's url addy is:

Hi Danny
Sorry about the spelling of "web" and "but". I have just got a new laptop and haven't got used to the keyboard yet.

Hello Danny, in bavaria we play a lot of oompahh music in beer fests, but the band (Blaskapelle) are 25 or more musicians. (I am playing since 35 years "blasmusik". Our music comes from most chechor bavarian composers like Ernst Mosch (http://mosch-musikverlag.de/) Wilhelm Halter Verlag (http://www.halter.de/) elmar wolf (ewoton) but there is no english version of their web sites and its difficult to find music for your purpose only from reading the song-titles. There is a powerful chech band in our area called mistrinanka (http://www.pvtnet.cz/asc/www/dechovka/mistrinanka/indexgb.html) with english homepage but I don't know where you can buy sheet music from them.
