Someone asked if Claude used St. Jacomes, Arban, Clarke, etc. The answer is yes and many more books including many of the French etudes, Gatti and others.
To see one of Claude's lessons go to my site;
http://www.geocities.com/BourbonStreet/Delta/8357/

Well this sucks! There are no buttons on my site. There should be one that says CG lessons.
Try it if you have time and let me know if it works.

Thanks

Hello Eric,
Your site works fine, the CG lesson took just a few moments to download.

My hat comes straight off when i see people work for their results.

I have Arbans (of course!) but am yet to see Irons or Schollsborg although i have seen many great references to them.

I have sneaked a look at your site before. the www link provided by the forum reveals many hidden treasures as do the hundreds of web sites dedicated to trumpet players.

I did also sneak a look at John Mohans site, a few days ago for the first time.
I have few regrets in my life, but am envious (in a wish that was me way) of people who have made the opportunity to really study music and playing in such a fashion.

I have grade 4 (distinction) in playing (tenor horn) about 15 years ago.

I have not really had access to specific CG material but intend to check out the library soon.

Good luck with this forum, and i will certainly be watching it

Kind regards
Phil Martin

Dear Phil,

Just wanted to clarify, I don't have a website. That webpage I have listed in my "Profile" was put together for me by a trumpet player/teacher named Matt Graves, who has been so kind as to place it on his website on my behalf.

And, don't forget, IT"S NEVER TOO LATE to continue to grow and develop as a brass player. I don't know how long I will be blessed with playing trumpet for a living. But I know I will always play and practice and develop my abilities. Playing professionally for me is definitely the icing on the cake. But I'll ALWAYS have the cake and enjoy it, too!

Regards,

John Mohan

Hi there Eric!

Glad to see you here.

I'm looking forward to getting as many former Gordon students involved as possible. I'm going to be contacting Carl Leach, Bob O'Donnell, Pete Bresciani, Jack Kanstul, Matt Graves, Tom Holden, and as many of the others as I can find out there to help out with this.

As Mannie Klein always said,

Keep Blowing!

John

Latent Tendencies?... Seriously though, is there a way to block an ip address from the site? This is ridiculous.

Really,

There should be a way to block someone that has nothing of value to contribute. Let alone being fixated with something that is unrelated to any subject
.
Isn't there some help group he can join to relieve his problem. I'm sure his counseler in his primary school would have some suggestions.

Yes! It's been so long, I can't remember what he looks like, but Bruce and I were at some of Claude's Brass Camps together in the early '80's.

Tell him I said hello, and I'd appreciate it if he could e-mail me his phone number at my

JMTrumpet@hotmail.com

e-mail address.

Thanks,

John Mohan

I can't block, but I can sure delete, and I just did.

How did this "Bachboy 2" get listed as a "Veteran Member" with a joining date of September 16, 2002?

To Bachboy 2:

Contribute something informative, interesting and/or positive to this forum, and I'll gladly leave your post up and available to be seen.

Sincerely,

John Mohan
