Does anyone know where an orchestral arrangement of the Arban: Carnival of Venice can be purchased/hired/borrowed?

Keele University Philharmonic Orchestra are hoping to perform the above piece as their featured cornet solo in a concert this December.

We are having great difficult obtaining a set of orchestral parts. Please could anyone with any knowledge of an orchestral accompaniment please contact me. The soloist is flexible as to the arrangement to perform - but would definitely prefer the Arban version. Once we know who had done a transcription for orchestra we might have more success trying to source the parts. Even if you have only heard it performed with orchestra and can remember which orchestra, that would be a great start.

It would be a crying shame if an orchestral audience are unable to hear one of the brass band movements greatest solos performed on a cornet.

Many thanks

The University of Southern Mississippi Orchestra performed this with Doc Severinsen as its guest soloist in October, 2001. Perhaps someone there can assist you.

Hey,
Try the Hunsenberger Arr. The trumpet part is not very different and it is way cool.

I believe that you can get/borrow it from Carl Fischer

The Hunsberger arrangment is for Cornet and Wind Ensemble. I don't think this would help with your situation. There must be an orchestral arrangment of it somewhere....
