Here are two more trumpet solo transcriptions from the outstanding "Carl Saunders Be Bop Big Band" album.

* Carl Saunder's solo on "Compilation" (rhythm changes)

* Carl Saunder's solo on "I'm All For You" (changes to Body and Soul)

(These in addition to the transcription of "Love Dance" already on the site.)

You can get to them one of two ways:

http://www.shout.net/~jmh/#recent

which is the main page, or go to the Saunders section of my website:

http://www.shout.net/~jmh/saunders/

I can't recommend this CD highly enough. In addition to Saunders' impeccable solos, there are several excellent solos by Ron Stout, a solo by Bobby Shew, and others. Very tight stuff.

Enjoy!

Jeff,
Maybe it's just me, but the "I'm All For You" solo doesn't open.

Thanks Jeff,
I've got it now. This particular tune is my personal favorite on that cd. Also, thanks so much for the service you generously provide to the trumpet community.

I live to serve!

BTW, I also have Andy Martin's trombone solo on "Emily" written out if you're interested. Great solo...

Oh yeah...please do include it. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the tune was in 4, instead of the more traditional 3/4 time.

This thread is 15 *years* old. I suspect millions of websites have moved around or disappeared since then.

Try starting here.

Man, has it been that long?

Thanks, and yes, the linked website is where you're likely to find any transcription that was housed at the old website. If you can't find something feel free to PM me and I can hunt for it.

Carl Saunders is an incredible trumpet player and I really love his approach to soloing.

Listen to CS, and then go back to the source -- Don Fagerquist!
