Any ideas on this guys? I don't think they make Crown Royal that big. I could go to a fabric store and get a piece of velvet or something...anyone else have any ideas? Thanks and all the best, Lex.

put a stocking cap over the flugel bell.....probably a small kids size. It will work great.... of course the thickness of the material will make a difference. Make sure it colorful or has a ball on the end of it.... something that will humor the audience abit.

I have several crown royal bags around... guess I've never tried to squeeze one over the flugel bell.

I dunno.. I'm just really upset that they don't sell the Crown Royal bag in CANADA any longer! You've gotta go to the USA to get one!

I just pulled out some Crown Royal bags and they fit over the bell of my Yamaha 631 just fine. Do you have a flugel with a larger bell than the Yamaha??

Crown Bags come at least 3 different sizes (I've heard.....). Maybe you just need to buy a bigger bottle on your way home tonite

You can also get them online, but that's not as much fun!

walk into most any bar and they will usually have a few of them under the counter.... I've played a few places where the owner would bring out a box of them and said take as many as you want or take them all.

Gee Lex, aren't you still playing a 1525 like me? They make that bell out of copper so you can squish it into the bag, don't they??

OK Lex, I took the liberty of confirming for you: The largest bag, from a litre I believe, easily fits over the bell of my Olds CT w/ a 6 1/2" bell. I don't know of anything larger than that.
Good luck man!

You guys are....AWESOME!!!! Thanks so much!! Especially to Bill for the link. I ordered two 1.75L bags..I'm not a CR man myself..too sweet..(I'm more of a JD man:wink: )

Ray - Yeah, I still got my Kanstul 1525 Copper Bell...it's working out GREAT! I know what you mean by the copper bell though....I play it all the time on gigs, late night jam sessions, I walk around NYC with it....travel with it...And, man, that copper dings up pretty easily! I don't care though...I look at them as 'characteristic signatures' and as long as it keeps playing well with that great sound, I'm happy! All the best, Lex.

This one ought to fit! (and $2.99 with shipping ($3.98 for two)!)

Also, Captain Morgan Private Stock comes in a really nice red velvet bag which I like (everyone has a Crown Royal bag)!
