Just a note to all you Mendez fans, to check out Geoffrey Payne's new CD on ABC classics, Trumpet Magic, of Mendez solos with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Geoff is peerless with this music. You must hear this.
I believe it can be ordered online.

I was lucky enough to get to write the liner notes for this CD.
It should be a good one. I believe it is the first recording since Mendez himself, of an entire album of Mendez solos with orchestral accompaniment.
