If you want to learn how to apply James Stamp's approach in your daily playing, do check out www.oberlin.edu/summer/trumpet where you find detailed information about the annual Oberlin Trumpet Workshop in June 2008, where you will be taught by two former Stamp students.

Having attended this workshop for the past two years, I highly reccomend it. I cannot even say how beneficial the James Stamp exercises have been for my playiing. _________________ Always remember:

Everyone who is trying to learn the Stamp method should go to this!
Scrape the money together somehow because this will be well worth it. To learn from Roy Poper will be as close as you will get to studying with Jimmy himself. The Stamp method isn't just a warmup. This is a great opportunity to really learn what Jimmy's method is all about.
I think it would be outstanding if those of you who go would post about your experiences and what you learned in the workshop on TH -- so take good notes!
