From reading the following: http://www.trumpetherald.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=54380&highlight=mvc there might be a confusion between these very similarly named websites. Looks like there could be some differences between them.

Thanks for pointing this out Michael. They are two different websites. It seems the http://trumpetshop.com is one to avoid, but no one seems to know much about www.thetrumpetshop.com?

This question was asked in April. Has anyone dealt with them since then? Seems they post occasionally here on TH, but only to sell their Couesnons. And when you go to their website, there is no one's name, no address and no phone number. Just makes me wonder...

I just found this excellent thread, and I second the request for a similar European list!

Hello all -- I appreciate the plug and listing here. Please modify my listing to the following since it takes you to the beginning of the horn list:

http://www.quality-brass.com/webstore/index.html

There are a couple of other places off the top of my head that sell brass that I'm aware of including:

http://www.bachorndoctor.com/forsale.html
http://home.gwi.net/~pmh/horns2.html
http://classictrumpet.com/

I'll check my bookmarks also in a day or so and see if I find any more.

Thank you again,

Fred Cirksena

The Horn Haven web store has been gone for quite some time. I spoke with the former owner (he's here in Dallas) and he told me that he now sells through David's Instrument Repair:

Hi, and thanks to all you fellow Th'ers who contributed to this list. Here is the updated list. I've checked every link. Again, my two fave sources head the list. Other than those, the list is in no particular order. I do not endorse any source listed. I have not done business with the vast majority of them.

Also, I've edited the OP to reflect this update.

Feel free to add!

Happy Holidays.

peace

Does anyone know how to search for parts at Allied Supply. Is that the supplier associated with Getzen? I'm looking for 3rd slide trigger parts to restore an Olds Recording.

Since this is a sticky, I will be conscientious about keeping the list on the OP updated if/when anyone adds any links. So feel free to add. Also, if a link becomes invalid, let me know and I will delete or change it as appropriate.

Not meaning to blow my own horn (excuse the over-used pun)..

http://trumpetsearch.com

Trumpet Search is basically an improved and more enjoyable way (I think) to shop for trumpets on ebay. Back when I used to look for horns, I got tired of the quirkiness and limitations of the eBay search feature. My goal was to take everything that is on eBay and organize it in a way that makes sense and saves you time finding the horn you want. You will find trumpets, cornets and flugelhorns sorted by brand, year and type to make it easier and more fun to shop. So, if you're looking for a horn from the 1920s, 1930s or 40's, just click on the decade. If you want to shop for a Martin Committee, you can go directly to it.

Essentially, every single trumpet that is being sold on eBay can be found on Trumpet Search. I realize that I am missing a few categories. If you think there are some categories I should add, let me know. This is where I get my ideas. Feedback would be appreciated. If you feel the site is falling short of what you can do on eBay, then I'll need to do some more work.

You've got me curious. What is ebay anonymous?
You are affiliated somehow with them?
