One of my graduate students gave an hour long presentation about the life and playing of Mendez, at one of our weekly studio classes. Over 35 trumpet players sat and watched videos and listened to recordings of the master. It was so amazing to watch Rafael's playing amaze a whole new generation of trumpeters. His breath control demonstration left them buzzing.
Incomparable.
