I'm not sure if I should post this sharing here or in the solo section. I'm taking my chances in either case!
As I continue to practice and study and strive to improve to the point of becoming a viable candidate as a DMA student in the next couple of years, I've been revisiting the music of one of my childhood heroes, Mendez. I've already done practice videos of La Virgen de la Macarena and Jota #1. Yesterday before I went to work I ran two pieces. This first one was Mendez's take on Hungarian Dance #5. It has a little jazzy/bluesy section in the middle. I personally think the jazz part is VERY well written. It is a nice line!

I'll find out soon enough if I shouldn't post here, but I am striving to train myself to crossover into this type of playing while still maintaining my lead skills.
I do home someone can enjoy this.
Peace.

Nick,
Done very well. Nice job of recording also. I played that solo in my youth for contest. It is nice to hear it again. It makes me want to find the music and tackle it once again.
Are you posting the solos for TH members comment or just for TH members enjoyment?
It was great to hear you play this tune!
