Does anyone know the story behind why such a great horn is not being made anymore? Any idea of how many were made? I own one and it is one of the best I have played for any setting. Thanks to anyone with any information on this.

I wonder if this is like last week when the website said that the 8310Z was discontinued. It was just a glitch in the computer systems.

Is there some press release that actually states that it's being discontinued?

This is a copy of the ad of the one just placed in the marketplace.

Yamaha YTR-9335V Allen Vizzuti Custom
This horn just came into inventory from a terrific professional trumpet player here in Los Angeles. It is in excellent condition with very minor cosmetic blems. The Allen Vizzuti model is a Bb trumpet, designed by Yamaha Trumpet Guru Bob Malone, for soloist and teacher Allen Vizzuti. These instruments were made in limited edition and are no longer in production. $2900 with case

They were discontinued a while ago. When they were released, it was marketed as a limited run. Don't know why. I tried one a couple years ago -- eh.
