Unfortunately, no, the CSO has never recorded much Copland and never the Fanfare. The only CSO Copland I know of are from various radio broadcast boxes: the world premiere of the Tender Land Suite conducted by Fritz Reiner in 1958, the Preamble for a Solemn Occasion with Ozawa from 1968, the Clarinet Concerto in 1979, and the Billy the Kid Suite with Levine from 1981. There also might be a Dance Symphony from the 60s conducted by Morton Gould, but I've never seen that one on CD.

Pity. They would have blown the socks off of it. _________________ Bryan Fields

+1
That really bums me out to be honest. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that a high quality bootleg shows up some day. _________________ Dave Lindgren of Sonoma, Ca

We're about to do it with eighteen trumpets with the Sydney Symphony, James Morrison and about 15 delegates from the ITG. So at least 6 on a part.
I think you guys might just hear it back in the US...

Haha, I cannot believe they recorded for Mannheim Steamroller. It's funny, all the other tracks are done by people in the LSO. I just had to get the recording off amazon, AWESOME!! Thanks for sharing! _________________ Yamaha Chicago C
