Here is a link to a video of a few highlights from the 2010 Rafael Mendez Trumpet Festival in Mexico City last November. Doc Severinsen was also one of the soloists, but for some weird reason is not in this video.
The festival was sponsored by the city and hosted by the musicians union. The man in charge was Armando Cedillo, who is seen playing the Vivaldi with Sandoval.
There are plans for another one (the fourth) in November, 2011 but the dates are not firm yet. It will be a week long.

Hey David... the spammer dredged up your thread from the Mexico thing.
My favorite parts was you playing Arban with the little kid and the at the end a kid won a Stomvi in a drawing of some kind. Then he whipped a mouthpiece from his pocket and peeled off some perez prado, and then a c-arpeggio to a double c!
it was a cool looking gig! Your Jota was nice too!
