Hello friends and music lovers;

With the summer concert season coming to a (much too early) end, there is still a chance to enjoy this beautiful weather and some great music.

**************TONIGHT!!!!!**************Friday September 17******************************

Mario & Big Bad Boogie play at JJ's Blues in San Jose. We play at 7:30.
This is a very cool band featuring some exceptional talent. The horns:
Noel Catura- Bari!!
Jules Goldberg- Tenor
EB- matron
This is June's last weekend as owner, so come down and pay your respects! Heck, I grew teeth at JJ's!
Tom Castro headlines.
Check the JJ's calendar online http://www.jjsblues.org/calendar.html
Yes the hot dogs are still free!
Of course Mario and co. have a link with sound clips and more info http://mariodaboogieman.com/

******Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival Sunday September 19***********

This is an awesome festival with great music. http://www.santaclaraartandwine.com/

David Ladd & The Downtown All-Stars will feature the fabulous Mike Renwick on guitar and lead vocal and the EB horns at 1 pm.
Doug Rowen- Alto & Tenor
Johnnie Beaumont- Bari
EB- I'll be at the hospitality tent

Of course David Ladd (AKA Mr. Anderson) is featured on flute and just all around good manners. At 1 pm on the main stage.

I'll also be conducting the Buchser Middle School jazz band in my arrangement of "September In The Rain".
These kids are unbelievable! They really swing and play from the heart.
This will feature 13 year old trumpet phenom Jenny Kromm.
Buchser plays at 10:30 am http://www.santaclaraartandwine.com/entertainment.html

Get out of the house people!! Enjoy the last breath of this wonderful summer! If your really nice, I'll buy you a tattoo!!

*****The Really Big Student Songbook**************

I am pleased to announce that the "Book" is now available in C, Bb, Eb, and bass clef and the response has been tremendous!
Please visit our publications page http://www.bolvinmusic.com/publications.html and download some free pages.
Remember- Educators and retailers always get a 30% discount.

***********************Charlie The Ox*******************************

Keep your eyes open for this movie. EB played like ten trumpet tracks for this film which made it's debut at the prestigious Telluride film festival over Labor Day.
Bill Murphy played sax and flute and Steve Gram played keys and wrote the score. What a great time was had by all!! I'm da next Brando baby!

*******************Jazz Improv features Quorum******************************************

The recent issue of Jazz Improv magazine http://www.jazzimprov.com/ features EB & Quorum on the cover and on the sampler CD.
We're right next to Pat Methany! How cool is that? You can check it out at Tower Records and places like Borders and Barnes & Noble.
Jazz Improv is a great mag that is chocked full of articles and charts and cool stuff, including my tune and chart "Pindrop".

Well, I hope to see you all very soon. Until then, Keep on swingin'!!

Eb
