Has anyone had trouble getting an MB quad bag on international flights or is it generally OK? I have got my Brass Bags (natural trumpet) triple on a few times, but apart from the length, it is not as big.

On the Tulsa Band website it says it will fit on most planes. Also, check this out.... http://www.trumpetmaster.com/vb/f131/marcus-bonna-quad-case-44931.html

Thanks cb3. That seems to confirm that it is fine.

No it will not in in all plane over heads.

I had trouble and had to gate check mine.

I sold it and got a wiseman that fits even on the CJRs (small regional jets), and if I get a crapy gate attendant I can gate check it and not worry.

I have travelled internationally and it has never been an issue on larger planes. I have had to gate-check on smaller planes (Embrair, etc.), but have never had a problem. I use a homemade "S" divider for the back compartment instead of the stacked configuration, so that may give more protection...

I was worried I would have the problem, but I have even fit mine on the smaller planes. You have to put it on it's side, and kind of wiggle it around to fit under the seat. The flight attendants tell me I have to check it in a lot of the time, but I still manage to fit it under the seat without a problem.
