Where is the best place to pick up the horn music? No such luck as finding it on the net printable is it?

It was rumored back in 1978 or so that the Principal trumpet of the Bakersfield,CA phil was the person who did that solo.

IIRC he was from England then Chicago maybe before Bakersfield,CA and his name was "Charles Brady."

Could be an urban legend.

Yes, it's definitely urban legend. Trumpet player was David Mason I believe. In fact that link posted in this topic to the music at Neville Youngs sight is interesting, because I seem to remember he was taught by David Mason and got quite hot under the collar a year or so ago when another American was put forward as thre man who played it.

Yeah, David Mason played the picc solo and the regular Bb was Philip Jones...not too bad!

canadian brass has a great arrangement of this piece.. Jens plays the picc part.. the best I've heard.
