If you happen to be in Mexico City between Nov. 12-19, be sure to catch some of the annual Rafael Mendez Trumpet Festival (www.musitec.org) hosted by Armando Cedillo and the Mexico City Musicians' Union. Guest artists this year include Otto Sauter and his Ten of the Best trumpet ensemble (Bryan Davis, Franz Wagnermeyer, Armando Cedillo, Wolfgang Navratil, Robert Lanese, Bengt Danielsson, Adam Rapa, Aneel Soomary, Marek Zvolanek), Miguel Martinez, Jeff Nevin, Gil Cervantes, Cris Lobo, and David Hickman
Lots of daily concerts, master classes, and lectures. Everything is free!
