Hi,

I'm going to be in North Carolina very soon and would be glad to bring some Wild Thangs for anyone to try out that might be interested in them.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW A.S.A.P. if you are possibly interested, via e-mail or phone (they are in my profile section).

Sincerely,

Tom Turner

Tom,

What part of North Carolina are you going to be in?
Thanks!

Hi,

I'm going to be, more or less, on the I-95 side of the state. Let me know where you are and maybe we can meet somewhere in the evenings!

Sincerely,

Tom

Well, that rules me out. But I already played that gold-plated cornet of yours. I'd love to hear it side-by-side with my 1953 Olds Recording cornet . . . needless to say, I've taken quite a liking to this axe. I'm playing it on a gig tomorrow, in fact . . . one day I hope to be a cornetist more often than a trumpeter. Ahhh, in an ideal world, eh?

Hi Rich,

I may be coming your way near the end of October. Margaret and I are planning on celebrating our 30th anniversary in Gatlinburg.

Maybe we can get together again and you can check out the short "thang" against that funny "Olds" cornet you've got. I hear they didn't even get the valves to line up in a straight line on those Recordings! (ha, ha)

Ain't playing a great cornet fun?!!! More and more I'm drawn, like a moth to the flame, to that sweet, round sound!

Warmest regards,

Tom

Hey Tom,

When you gonna come visit me and Mike over here at FSU with the WT??? Mike is in the wind orchestra I believe, and he's a walking legend on this campus. It'd be great if you could make a little trip down our way with you little WT horn.

Nick

Hi Nick,

Hopefully I'll be down there pretty soon. Tell Michael I'm bringin' a spare Warburton 4MC just in case he tries to wimp out again!

Your 'Noles are looking mighty good on TV, and the band sounds real good too. Are you having fun being in the Chiefs?

Tom, When you and Rich start that cornet talk it makes me wonder if I chose the wrong instrument. I have just never had enough cornet time to know for sure. I suspect your answer would be that I need both, rather than an either, or. However, those Wild Thangs ain't that cheap!
