This has become my favorite stretch for trumpet playing. I do it before, in between, and after playing. This stretch targets the upper back and thoracic spine, which get engaged when keeping the chest up like Claude advocates. It especially feels good when you get that knot between your shoulder blades, which I believe are sore breathing muscles.
