I think my cornet must be broken somehow. It doesn't seem to work like his. _________________ "Nearly as good as I need to be. Not nearly as good as I want to be".

The tonguing is phenomenal! All those scales etc are so cleanly articulated! Wow! |

Imagine what he could do on a real cornet with triggers!
Incredible player. _________________ Greg

It never ceases to amaze me how some performers can make insane passages look like child's play.
Then I find myself thinking of one guy who weaves and bobs like he's performing hugely impossible passages when they're not that tough... Gotta love 'em all, I guess.
Great video; great comments! _________________ Jonathan Milam

There is one other video of him playing the piccolo, and that is also superb. It reminds me of André's tonguing, so crisp and clear, with a beautiful fat tone on the picc. Incredible! But the Napoli really makes me smile from ear to ear, I still think it must be the cornet (or maybe the mouthpiece, that is my other guess, haha). _________________ http://cdbaby.com/cd/triobertlochs

Wow, great clip! Really enjoyed it!
That was pretty funny at the beginning when he started rubbing his eye while he was holding the high C!

All joking aside, which is hard for me, that guy is fantastic. _________________ Jonathan Milam

Sometimes players are so good, that instead of motivating you, you just want to walk away from the instrument forever. |

I needed that! I feel inspired (and hopefully it lasts for awhile). Note how he lifts his fingers high and strikes the valves hard - the next time I read where someone is claiming that's not a good idea, I'm referring them to this video.
Thanks for sharing,

I'm going to play flugelhorn next. You know, I'm trying to become a Chet Baker, just without the drugs.
