Could loose soldering (my leadpipe hanging on my about 1/4 of the soldering) affect the sound of an instrument? Wouldn't that do something to the resonance of the horn and such?

Where is the solder loose? If it's the valve cluster to leadpipe brace and it's slightly loose, it can cause a certain amount of vibration. (Loose braces can really cause things to rattle!). If it's a blob inside the leadpipe, that too isn't something you'd really want. One of my horns I played for a very long time had a small blob in the leadpipe I never really noticed. I did end up removing the blob but never noticed a significant change one way or the other. But the thing is you really don't need any unwanted obstructions, particularly along the leadpipe.

If I'm reading your question correctly, though, you're talking about a loose leadpipe, where it's no longer attached as securely as it should be to the horn. It probably does affect the sound and it certainly adds a risk factor, particularly if you use pressure. I'd hate to have the thing come off completely during a gig or something!

Indeed, a loose leadpipe can be a problem.
Take it to a decent repairman and get it sorted out before it all comes apart.
When I was trying out my Najoom leadpipe I had it loosely attached and it came off when I took the instrument into the upper echelons of trumpet playing. If I didn't have very quick reactions (years of juugling finally come in handy!) I would have damaged it.
Good job that I didn't, love the leapdpipe, now that it is attached strongly!
