FYI, I just received notice of a week-long College Audition Preparation workshop at Indiana University this summer (July 20-25, 2002). The front blurb sez'
"A workshop for high school brass, percussion, and woodwind players who are planning to apply for entrance to college music programs."
John Rommel is the listed trumpet professor. The schedule looks pretty good and well balanced (time slots are listed for warmup/technique, ensembles, private lessons, master classes, theory/practice/topical presentations, evening master classes/concerts/groups/social events).
$600 tuition, $225 room and board ($825 total for the week). For more info, email to musicsp@indiana.edu, phone (812) 855-6025, or check the website at http://www.music.indiana.edu/som/special_programs
Almost makes me wish I was back in high school.
Almost.
Cheers! - Don _________________ Don Herman/Monument, CO
