I keep coming back to these for inspiration:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elo0SPMo6qg

Napoli - Antonsen (his cocky, flawless, showmanship)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-N-LPqU6Dc

Aus Italien - Michael Sachs (perfectly balanced, thrilling orchestral playing)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXCKRJbEwIk

Shostakovich Piano concerto - Nakariakov (the pianist that can leave him behind at the end has not been born yet)

All of the songs and the etudes Andrea Guifredi has posted. Here is one example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aioOep5yHjE

I am working on my tone, phrasing, and musicality. He is a sound concept I aspire to achieve - I won't achieve it - but I can try/dream.

Mike

edit: He makes flow studies amazingly musical, and the play along element is kind of fun.

Oliver Nelson’s “Emancipation Blues,” one of the tunes we’re playing at a gig next week. Here’s a great version by the US Navy band, the Commodores.

All the Marquis Hill and Quentin Coakum I can find. Two Chicago kids (at my age I can call them that) who can play!

Sometimes crumminess achieves a rare state of perfection.

If I had a time machine, I'm pretty sure I'd head for 1960 (or thereabouts).

I doubt it. A cameo appearance by Gina would probably cost more than that movie's whole budget.

Raiders of the lost Ark, expanded score release …. I’d love expanded/complete recordings of John Williams scores to Born on the 4rth July; JFK; Nixon …. Please God, before I die!
