How about, "donnybrook" - this will fit well with all the trumpeters that
are doublin' on other instruments. |

"Spats", perhaps.
I once had a spat about which spit key selection: Saturn vs. Standard.

I mean, it happens. Lots of personalities here. Lot of people that think they have the magic beans, magic bullet, snake oil, have unstuck Excalibur, or have otherwise discovered the wormhole to the cosmos of divine trumpet playing.
Some of them have.
Some of them have not......
It doesn't help that there are so many approaches and opinions for the same thing.... which is unlocking trumpet playing. Then, with those approaches you have some that do or do not work for some people, or people that delude themselves that something is 'working' for them. Then toss in a bit of internet accountability, a middle schooler here and there, TONS of well meaning amateur players, over-the-internet psychoanalysis, sensitive egos, a pro here and there, a few serious big hitters, a pinch of trolls, a well meaning but ultimately inane 'who's the best' or 'whats the best' thread here and there, stir it all up, and that is basically trumpet herald. You just have to go with it, and learn to sift though it.
So yeah. It happens. _________________ "Bud didn't worry about this..."

I vote we change it to "Arguments" until everyone on the whole forum agrees that Monette is better than Bach. _________________ "May God have mercy on my enemies, because I won't." George S. Patton Jr.

re: Monette vs. Bach
A good compromise would be a "Shires" trumpet. The best of both worlds.
But, then again, I don't wish to start any argument de poids, argumente, argumentos... |

How about we change the name of the website to trumpetfracas.com? Each subject in the forum would be a different fracas like Fundamental Fracas or Mouthpiece Fracas. Also, in the dedicated section we could have...........wait for it...............Farkas Fracas!!!!!! _________________ Scott LeVal

Guys I dunno about any of that, but what I do know is that once I started playing FERALOBJECT™ INSANE-O-BORE© TRUMPET OF THE GODS I was the best trumpet player ever. Honestly I don't even know why I'm still here discussing other useless garbage with you philistines.
Eh, I guess my neighbors do need a break from running out of their houses to tell me how good I sounded on this sweet, sweet melody-maker. _________________ New Album "ensemble | in situ" on Bandcamp

What we have on this site is too many posters who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express too many times. They think they know.
Give them some real facts and they get snarly.
