This is certainly a stretch of the forum title "commercial"......
There are two songs on commercials that feature excellent trumpet playing....I just cant figure out what songs they are or who is playing them.
The first is a promo for the show "As If",
and the second is an advertisement for the Acura CL Type-S.
If anyone has heard these songs, and knows their performer....please let me know! Also, could you describe how the articulation technique they employ is accomplished?
Thanks |

I can't answer the commercial question, but if you hear high roaring horns in a local Cincinnati commercial it's probably Gary Winters, late of the PsychoAcoustic Orchestra and others. He's still a phenom!

Wayne Bergeron does a lot of movie soundtracks. Have no idea if he did the commercials.

A similar technique is used in the trumpet solo of Glen Marhevka in the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's song "Go Daddy-O"
And I guess it kind of could be described as a high growling type sound |
