I have been doing simple 2 octave scales lately after a day off. At my age, it is less of a smack in the mouth than Interval studies or my PLTS stuff.

Today, I realized I was keeping the mouthpiece on the lips during the one beat rest and breathing through the nose, aka, N.B.

I attached a scan of this exercise. Please pardon my left handed manuscript.

Going up in half step keys, you can quickly reach the top of your range. I feel these scales even out my sound note to note since there is one setting of the embouchure going 2 octaves. They also seem to reduce pressure while adding air support.

Let me know what you think!
