Somehow famous people keep agreeing to do these things. We're just going to keep rolling with it as we pinch ourselves (no, not there!).

This month Joe Alessi gave us an interview on our home turf in New London, CT. The plan for the teaser was originally going to be having him go to all the bars in town playing Christmas Carols. Didn't work out, but just before the interview started he tells us, "Ya know, I think there's something with those elevators..."

Thanks for producing and posting this video interview with Mr. Alessi. I enjoyed it and learned some things too. And thanks for the Monster Oils--they've been working great!

Glad you enjoyed it! We have to keep pinching ourselves every time we meet these people. Still can't believe we got to pick the brain of the world's greatest trombonist for a half-hour.

This is great as always. (I'm a recovering trombonist, i.e. a former doubler).

Two thoughts:
1) I want to hear a Joe Alessi Jazz album.
2) I agree w/ Mr. Alessi that Urbie Green is the greatest trombonist to never play in an Symphony Orchestra. (Urbie Green is one of my favorite musicians, period).

Again, I can't say this often enough, thanks for doing these!

He might just do the jazz album! He kind of threatened to in the interview.

Yeah, I got that too. I hope he does.

I wish more brass players would "cross over" and play more than one genre.
