I'm playing on a great Jerome Callet Bb right now. However, I may have to replace the leadpipe, as there may be red rot. So, my question is, any recommendations? I play lead in a rock band, in case that info is needed. Thanks!

Patrick

Have you contacted Jerome Callet or Kanstul to find out if a stock replacement pipe can be provided to you?

See a competent repair person, your horn may just need cleaning. If you replace the leadpipe, the horn changes.

It's definitely not just a cleaning. I have it professionally cleaned twice a year. I will contact kanstul to see if they have a pipe. I was just curious if anyone had tried other leadpipes with the Jazz.

Those were great trumpets. I think it's the best Jerry ever built ( or had built for him)

That said, Kanstul can get you a replacement easy enough. I wouldn't venture to guess what a good option for a different pipe might be.

Jerry might even have an option for you at his house in Staten Island. Give him a call.
