Just off the "hot" presses, is a groundbreaking new video of the single "No More Drama" off my new album Mac Gollehon & The Hispanic Mechanics. Directed by the very talented Dylan Greenberg, a young filmmaker who has seen coverage in such notable sites as SPIN, Vice and Pitchfork for her last feature film Dark Prism. This collaboration is the first of many between True Groove Records, me & Dylan Greenberg.

Dylan Greenberg says of the video, "The vision I got across in Mac's video was the same brutalist aesthetic I've seen in works such as David Lynch's Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway, only instead of using the atmosphere to create a sense of horror, I flipped it on its side and used surrealism to create a fun, danceable video. Furthermore, the kinetic nature of the project is aimed to make viewers feel that they, too are part of an exciting audio visual experience." She has already begun work on a second video off my album, and we are both excited about the meld of groundbreaking music with groundbreaking visuals.

"...what Gollehon delivers here is bone-crushing Latin Funk. Pure and simple... It is like the love child of Chemical Brothers and Tito Puente." Jazz Times, May 20, 2016

I forgot to mention the CD release is today and is available for downloading on most of the usual sites. You can also Google Mac Gollehon and the Hispanic Mechanics to check out at least a dozen or more reviews.

I guess I'm just too old to appreciate the video.
I liked everything except the video part and the
sound part.

That's exactly what I said when I said ''here''...

The tune is cool; not my everyday cup of tea, but I like the dynamic. I like the music a lot more than the video.

Happy to read it's working for you on the net and on radio. Keep on keepin' on!!

After considering that this video perhaps is more a EDM Latin dance focus which may not appeal to the major demographic of this forum. It was suggested by me to check out other tracks on the cd for free on YouTube.il a rite Mac Gollehon & the Hispanic mechanics does feature the trumpet front and center all the way thru as does Obscuridad so please take a moment to check these out before forming an opinion based on the no more drama video. Apparently many on this forum don't have a clue who I am which is surprising as I have been on a great deal of high magnitude work. So check out the other tracks on YouTube.

Yeah Nevadabighorn, hope you are sufficiently intimidated. And anyone who would prefer Doc obviously needs to be shamed.

What could be hipper than a chubby, sleazy-looking, middle-aged guy in sunglasses waddling around a nighttime urban scene pretending to play flugelhorn while a trumpet-led brass section is playing a bland, forgettable soundtrack.

I especially loved the close-up of said hipster sucking on his cigar.

Seriously, you can't force people to like your stuff no matter whoever you are. If it's good then people will share it and love it. Just keep it cool and let people have their own opinions.

Seriously, I don't catch the second level ( should there be one? ) behind the ridiculous getups of the characters, especially the guy with the military overall wearing a flashy red hood; the punky-beggar-cinderella isn't much better.

Sorry guy, but free provocation is an old trick. We' ve seen it hundreds of time. I guess you'll take these words badly, but first that's you who invited us to watch this video. Second, please take the advice you repeat again and again: no more drama. Focus on your music.
