Any opinions on Ricco- Kuehn rotaries? Intonation and tone color?

I'd also appreciate any opinions on mid-priced rotaries.

Thanks!

I have never played one, but the last time I saw
Tamas Valenczei ( Berlin Phill soloist ) he played
one, though I think they are good. Their C's are very
well regarded.

Besides they are cheaper than the Schagerls and
Monkes.

Hope it helps.

I borrowed one for my LA audition - it made the difference between winning and losing (had to play Bruckner 4 and Parsifal on it, among other stuff). I promptly bought one and have been very happy with it. They are a steal at the price.

Jim-

Do they have a dealer in the US? How did you get yours? What is the going price?

Irving,

The guy I borrowed the C from likes his Bb even more.

John,

Found him on the web and dealt directly with him. It came out to be about $2100 with shipping. I don't know if the prices are the same or not. The website is:

http://www.ricco-kuehn.de/

Hope this helps.
